Workshops for its Seventh Season!

Caroling, Caroling Fall choral workshop will focus on the tradition of caroling from the Middle Ages to the present day. We will learn about and sing various forms of carols from folk songs and “catches” to hymns and canticles to busking and pub songs. The textbook of music will be “In the Moon of Wintertime”; supplemental music will also be provided. Included in the course will be elements of text and mprovisation. At the conclusion of the workshop there will be one or more informal caroling outings.
The 12-week workshop will meet Saturdays, September 17 through
December 10 (excepting Oct. 8 and Nov. 26), from 2 – 4 p.m. at Holy
Family Episcopal Church in Santa Fe. Registration fee is $125, music
scores included.
Tips and Tools
for Seasoned Singers
This eight-week class features elements of music analysis for
experienced
singers. It will cover classical to contemporary, solo and
choral repertoire, taught
by Dr. Mary Badarak. Music will be provided and participants are
encouraged to
bring their own music to prepare.
Workshop sessions will take place September 17 - November 12, 12:30
– 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Episcopal Church in the Turquoise Trail
Business Park, Santa Fe. Registration fee is $100.
