Caroling, Caroling

Fall choral workshop will focus on the tradition of caroling from the Middle Ages to the present day. We will learn about and sing various forms of carols from folk songs and “catches” to hymns and canticles to busking and pub songs. The textbook of music will be “In the Moon of Wintertime”; supplemental music will also be provided. Included in the course will be elements of text and mprovisation. At the conclusion of the workshop there will be one or more informal caroling outings.
